AKIHABARA, TOKYO'S ELECTRIC AND ANIME DISTRICT

Akihabara is a district which located in the Chiyoda Ward of Tokyo. Akihabara was named as Akihabara Electric Town after the World War II for being a major shopping center for household electronic goods. Nowadays, Akihabara is considered to be an otaku cultural center and a shopping district for video games, anime, manga, and computer goods.
Akihabara tries to create an atmosphere as close as posibble to the game and anime worlds. By covering the streets with anime and manga icons, cosplayers, and maid cafes Akihabara becomes a heaven for the otaku. You can find anything related to anime in this district, manga, anime goods, figures, TCG, Doujinshi, and many other things.
Getting to Akihabara by using a subway is quite easy. You can access Akihabara by using 3 routes. You can travel to Akihabara Station by the Hibiya line (H15), Suehirocho Station by the Ginza line (G14), or Iwamotocho Station ( S08 ) and take 10 minute walk to Akihabara.
